Gallows seeks out the names on his list. He starts with Daniel Patrick, an offender out on parole, who he takes to the woods and shows him Gallows Werewolf form and tells him he is not the only one. The pair then visit Carcass at the shelter and ask for his help.

Serendipity battles Oblivia and Childe before escaping with Vex back to the Saviour. Who charms her and needs her for an unknown purpose. Childe follows Oblivia home and tries to defend her when Carcass, Gallows and Daniel burst in to grab her. They quickly calm down when its apparent they are no threat. Gallow's explains the situation of Evil Ernie's war for Lady Death and how the Pandora Effect enhanced each of their powers and now he fears this is leading to Armageddon.

He gathered them all from a vision but he is missing one person he has yet to identify, Childe realizes this is Vex and tells Gallows that she might have met her in a C.O.D.A. (Church of the Divine Ascension ) homeless shelter.

The Equinox Cabal gathers in emergency session to discuss the visions of saint Joan, she tells them that her vision of allying with Gallows was false but before she can continue she dies following a mental attack of some kind.
